What is the happiness hormone?
Our body has many feel-good hormones that boost our mood and promote overall happiness in many ways. Some can alleviate anxiety and prevent depressive symptoms, while others can affect pleasure, joy, attachment, and confidence. Although the happiness hormone is known as a single hormone, there are actually 4 different hormones that trigger your happiness. We can simply list these hormones as follows:
Serotonin: mood stabilizer, provides well-being and happiness.
Dopamine: pleasure is at work for motivation in the brain’s reward system.
Oxytocin: Increases attachment, provides love and trust.
Endorphins: Pain reliever, high in athletes, manage relaxation.
